A New Year!

Well, it’s 2013. Can you believe it? If you ask me, 2012 was sure good to us. God gave us our son and we are very blessed. What more could we ask for? To celebrate, we spent New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day with our family…just hanging out, playing games and staying up until 9:00 p.m. I know, so late, right? It’s become a tradition with my sister’s kids that we countdown to the new year on New York time, which is 9:00 p.m. California time. That’s about as late as we can go these days. We do poppers and sparkling juice in little tiny champagne glasses. It’s the BEST type of New Year’s Eve party!

My niece, Anna, is so sweet with Nathanael.

She always wants to hold him and makes sure to tell me she has washed her hands.

She kisses him on his head when it is time to go and she enjoys his facial expressions.

She’s a pretty neat little girl. You can’t help but love her.

I adore her and I LOVE that she loves my son.

Grandpa and Grandma play with Nathanael and watch for his smiles.

They are getting to be quite frequent now. Smile

New Year’s Day

Games: Mexican Train and Blokus. Some family favorites.

In the lower left picture, you’ll see my oldest niece, Bekah.

She rocked Nathanael and patted his pacifier to keep him calm.

In the midst of all the adults talking, I overheard her singing to him Jesus Loves Me.

She is a great little caretaker and helps her mommy out all the time with her siblings.

It is so wonderful to see her loving heart doing what it does best…loving.

I’m so excited to see what God has in store for all of us this next year.

Happy New Year!

…the laugh (or smile) at the end of a comic strip.

While at a family birthday party, I captured some cute pictures of Nathanael with his daddy, Aunt Kathy, and little cousin, Grace. It sort of made me think of a comic strip…a really cute one, of course. The kind that makes you smile when you get to the last picture.

Nathanael’s First Christmas

We celebrated Christmas at my parents house with the family.

Christmas Edit 10

Nathanael had his very own stocking. Look how cute it is…thanks to his grandma.

This year, all the grandkids had matching stockings with their names on them. Smile

Christmas Edit 4

There were presents galore and some very excited kids.

Christmas Edit 1

Nathanael was in good spirits…especially in the arms of his daddy.

Christmas Edit 6

This little shirt is the first thing I bought for Nathanael when I found out I was going to have a BOY.

I thought it looked like something his dad would wear. Red heart

Christmas Edit 13

Things can get a little silly around here. See my silly face?

Bekah even got her dad and Uncle Nate to play her new Wii dance game with her.

That wasn’t very hard to do. They like to rock it. Smile with tongue out

Christmas Edit 2

Uncle Nate and little Leah bug.

Christmas Edit 3

Leah is so precious. She is a real joy to be around.

After all, her name is Leah Joy. Winking smile

Christmas Edit 12

Micah loved his new castle and pirate ship! Boy stuff.

Christmas Edit 11

Napping with Aunt Becky.

Christmas Edit 9

Grandma time.

Christmas Edit 7

Smiles for Grandpa.

Christmas Edit 5

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Stay cool and peace out.
